The year started off unusually warm and dry but February will be remembered for the big snow storm of 2009. Parts of the rim country received 2 feet of snow in 3 days.

Precipitation for March was below average.

The monsoon months of July and August were below normal in rainfall and above normal in daytime high temperatures.

After a normal September, a low pressure trough dipped down over Arizona in the last week of October. Record low temperatures were recorded for the week and parts of Pine got 1/8th to 3/8th of an inch of snow.

The rim country recorded some of the highest wind gusts ever during a snow storm on December 7th.

The low temperature for 2009 was 11.7 on December 5th

The high temperaturefor for 2009 was 98.8 on July 17th.

The 98.8 high is also the highest temperature I have recorded since living in Pine.

The total precipitation for 2009 was 13.7 Inches
